The Alaska House is holding public meetings across the state to hear from constituents on the state budget and Permanent Fund Dividends.

A meeting has been scheduled for Bethel on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Bethel Cultural Center from 2 to 5 p.m. Rep. Tiffany Zulkosky, as well as a member of the House Finance Committee, will travel to hear public testimony and deliver brief presentations on Gov. Mike Dunleavy's budget proposal.

The House majority coalition scheduled the meetings. The coalition includes Democrats, Republicans, and independents. Leaders of the all-Republican House minority oppose the meetings, saying that they are unnecessary and costly.
