Emmonak Woman Stabs Boyfriend In Chest Multiple Times In Self-Defense

Alaska State Troopers

The investigation continues into an assault that left a man with multiple stab wounds in Emmonak. Allen Akaran was at his home in Emmonak on Friday when he started punching his girlfriend and then began striking his two-year-old daughter.

According to a trooper report, the girlfriend, in self-defense and fearing for her daughter’s life, picked up a steak knife and stabbed Akaran three times in his chest.

Akaran and his girlfriend had been drinking alcohol, and two sober witnesses were on scene babysitting the daughter. Akaran was transported to Bethel for medical treatment. The girlfriend and her daughter did not require medical care. Akaran's injuries are reported to be nonlife-threatening.
