Community Resources Available Following Arrest of Bethel Elementary School Principal

LKSD is making its social workers available to students and parents following the arrest of Gladys Jung Elementary School Principal Chris Carmichael.
Lower Kuskokwim School District

Parents and students with concerns after last week's arrest of Gladys Jung Elementary Principal Chris Carmichael are reminded that there are resources to reach out to. The Lower Kuskokwim School District has social workers available for emotional support, and anyone is encouraged to call. They can be reached by calling (907) 543-4874 or (907) 545-4429.

Outside of the school district, there are other resources in the community. Bethel Family Clinic is available at (907) 543-3773, and the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation Behavioral Health Department is at (907) 543-6100.

Additionally, any person with information regarding the criminal investigation of Carmichael is encouraged to contact the FBI at (907) 276-4441.
