A blizzard warning has been issued for the Kuskokwim Delta. Beginning around 6:00 a.m. on Nov. 19, winds of 35 to 45 miles per hour are expected, with gusts as high as 60 miles per hour.

According to the National Weather Service,  the storm will last until about 3:00 p.m. on Nov. 19, with 4 to 12 inches of snow predicted.

The warning says that conditions are expected to be the worst around the coast near Hooper Bay and Nunivak Island, but blizzard conditions are also predicted to reach Bethel. Travel may be very difficult during the blizzard, but visibility should slowly improve by late afternoon.
