Bethel Regional High School archers came away from the Western National Archery Tournament with a third place team finish. According to archery coach and Gladys Jung PE teacher Rafe Johnson, that’s Bethel’s “first ever podium appearance as a team.” The team of 26 archers from Bethel went to Salt Lake City to compete against hundreds of western state teams in the tournament, which took place April 13 and 14.

While the high school archers shot their way their way to third place, Bethel’s middle school archers came close, but didn’t quite make it to the podium. The middle schoolers were edged out by just 12 points, taking fourth behind Scurry-Rosser Middle School.
