Bethel’s varsity basketball teams had a good weekend, beating Nome’s varsity boys and girls teams in two games each.
The Bethel Warriors beat the Nome Nanooks 69 to 42 on Friday, Feb. 7, and 67 to 58 on Saturday, Feb. 8. In another two-game victory, the Lady Warriors beat the Nome girls varsity team 55 to 54 on Feb. 7, and 49 to 45 on Feb. 8.
Bethel’s junior varsity boys also took home two victories. On Feb. 7, the JV Boys beat Nome 70 to 26. On Feb. 8, they beat Nome 61 to 44.
Bethel junior varsity girls brought home one victory on Feb. 7, beating Nome 26 to 20. But on Feb. 8, the Nome junior varsity girls beat Bethel 34 to 32.
