Bethel residents may have seen a post in a Facebook group that says Alaska Airlines is going to only allow passengers to check two bags on flights between Anchorage and Bethel. The third must be on standby.

That’s not true, according to Alaska Airlines.

Alaska Airlines will still allow people to check in three bags on the popular route. Ray Lane, spokesman for the company, says that passengers may be asked to place a third bag on standby, but that doing so will be voluntary.
