State waters of the Kuskokwim River will have a gillnet opening on Tuesday in Section 4 of the river from Aniak upstream to the Holitna River mouth.

The opening will last 24 hours from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20. Drift and set nets are limited to 6-inch or less mesh and cannot exceed 45 meshes in depth or 25 fathoms in length. All fish, including king salmon, that are caught in the gillnets or live release gear during the opening can be kept.

State waters in Section 5 of the Kuskokwim, from the Holitna River mouth up to the headwaters, remain open to 6-inch or less mesh gillnets indefinitely. The Aniak River remains closed to gillnets at this time.
