What To Know About Bethel’s 2016 Fourth Of July Celebration

Bethel will celebrate its annual Fourth of July festival Monday. KYUK talked with the festival’s coordinator Roxanne Girdlestone about what’s to come.

Parking

The day of the celebration, the roads entering Pinky’s Park will be closed at 10 a.m. Roadblocks will be set at each end of the road. Parking is expected to be very limited in City Subdivision, and no vehicles will be allowed in the park area.

Day’s Schedule

10 a.m. Parade line up begins outside Swanson’s

11 a.m. Parade begins, winding through town and ending at Pinky’s Park

11 a.m. Vendor booths open

12 p.m. Music, entertainment, vendors, and games open at Pinky’s Park

1:00 p.m. Adult softball tournament

5 p.m. Raffle winners announced. Vendor booths close.

Parade Route

The parade begins at Swanson’s and continues down to Chief Eddie Hoffman Hwy to Watson’s Corner. It passes AC and BNC and then turns at Osage into Mission Rd at the Bethel 4-H Youth Center and onto Akiachak towards Pinky’s Park.
