Last Sunday, State Troopers arrested an Emmonak resident for strangling his girlfriend.
Jamie Agwiak, age 40, is accused of punching his girlfriend in the face and then strangling her on and off for about 10 minutes. Her eye was swollen shut and she had marks on her forehead, face, and neck.
Agwiak is charged with assault in the second and third degree and was arraigned in Emmonak yesterday.
