A total of four mushers have scratched from the 2018 Kuskokwim 300.

Aaron Burmeister and Jessie Holmes drove their teams back to the Bethel checkpoint and scratched after having left the checkpoint for the second half of the trail. Cim Smyth scratched at the Bethel checkpoint late Saturday afternoon. Both Burmeister and Holmes are registered to race in the Iditarod this March.

Brent Sass was the first musher to scratch earlier Saturday, citing brutal trail conditions.
