The body of a man found on Monday, June 18 has been identified, according to the Anchorage Daily News, as Jazmin “Duna” James.

James, age  26, was reported missing earlier this year by his family on April 1.

State Troopers and search and rescue groups from Tununak, Toksook Bay, Nightmute, and Kipnuk conducted a search for James by aircraft, boat, and snowmachine. They found his snowmachine, but not him.

Now, months later, young Toksook Bay fishermen found James’ body about a half mile from shore while driftnetting for salmon and halibut.
