The Bethel Wrestling Club participated in the 2016 Alaska USA State Wrestling Tournament in Wasilla over the weekend. Three Warriors came home with a ‘triple-crown’ title after coming out first in all three wrestling styles: Folkstyle, Greco-Roman and Freestyle.

Thomas Dyment won it all in the 106 lbs. weight class.

Hayden Lieb won the triple-crown in the 126 lbs. weight class. This is the second year in a row Lieb won the title, the first time for any Bethel Warrior.

Zachary Pleasant was the third Bethel wrestler to win the triple-crown title at a weight of 143.4 lbs. Pleasant moved up a weight class to get more competition in the tournament.

6 Warriors, Landon Smith, Joseph Smith, Thomas Dyment, Hayden Lieb, Sven Williams and Seth Smith will join the Team Alaska National Dual Team for a tournament June in Pocatello, Idaho. They will compete against all other Western States Dual Teams.
