Bethel Woman Arrested For Stealing Antlers

Alaska State Troopers say 32-year-old Bethel resident Kenlynn Nicholai was arrested in Bethel after allegedly stealing and selling antlers.

Wildlife Troopers in Bethel say they received a call from a Bethel resident on Wednesday around 4pm, saying someone had stolen a pair of caribou antlers from their back deck earlier that day.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers, with help from the Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit and the Bethel Police Department, conducted an investigation and contacted Nicholai after she allegedly sold a set of antlers that matched the description of the stolen items.

Nicholai was arrested on charges of one count driving a vehicle with a revoked operator’s license, and one count of theft by receiving, and promoting contraband. The antlers were seized as evidence and she was remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel.
