At Tuesday’s Bethel City Council meeting, city administrators made the case clear: doing maintenance repairs now on existing city equipment will help in the long run; Council agreed.
In a six to one vote, with Council member Raymond "Thor" Williams in opposition, Council introduced a budget revision for the repairs and the purchase of a tractor-trailer. Both tractor and trailer are already located in Bethel. City Manager Peter Williams listed several current projects the vehicle and equipment would be helpful for, in addition to reducing costs to the city over time.
