Dance Festival
In
the spring of the year indigenous and ethnic dancers from around the world join
Native dancers from across
Alaska
in the lower
Kuskokwim
River
community of
Bethel
for three days of dance, song and
celebration during the annual Cama-i Dance Festival. Each program listed below
features selected highlights of these performances.
Cama-i Dance Festival 2005

Performers include the Yurartet YKD Dancers, The Akiuk Kasigluk High School Dancers, The Kuskokwim Campus Dancers from Bethel, The Kaluiarmiut Dancers from Nelson Island and Bethel, the Upallret Dancers of Bethel, The Alaska Native Heritage Center Dancers from Anchorage, The Chevak Dancers, Mountain Village Dancers, Scammon Bay Dancers featuring Marianne Sundown, the Nunam Iqua Dancers and the Little Diomede Island Dancers.
